Our Fleet
62 trucks, every one of them owned, maintained and managed in-house, dispatched from our own depots at Jamisontown and Newcastle.
Elite Haulage runs 62 trucks. We own every one of them, service them ourselves and put our own drivers in them. Book Elite and it's our gear and our people that turn up.
From a single Hiab drop to sustained bulk cartage on a major civil program, we match the configuration to the job. With 62 units we can hold a schedule day after day, on local, state and federally funded projects Australia-wide.
A late-model fleet, most of it brand new
Most of the trucks are brand new. The heavy end runs the latest Mack Anthems, UD tippers do the sand and soil work, and there are Volvos through the lineup. New trucks mean current-generation engines, better fuel burn and emissions, and fewer breakdowns. They also look the part on a client site.

What we run, and what it's for
Hiab (crane) trucks
Truck-mounted cranes for jobs that need lifting as well as carting. Precast, drainage products, pipes, plant and pallets, placed where you want them. Handy on tight sites and anywhere there's no excavator or forklift to unload.
6, 8 and 10-wheeler tippers
The workhorses. Our UD tippers lead the sand and soil runs. Rigids carry sand, soil, aggregate, road base, recycled product and spoil at volumes that suit compounds, subdivisions and mid-size civil works, and they fit into sites the bigger combinations can't.
Truck-and-dog combinations
Built on our latest Mack Anthems, these carry the most payload per trip. Truck-and-dogs do the heavy work on quarry supply, road programs and infrastructure jobs, which keeps trip counts, traffic movements and cost per tonne down.
Smaller rigids
For lighter loads, tight access and metro deliveries where a big combination is overkill.
Inside the fleet
Straight from our fleet register:
| Configuration | In the fleet | Built for |
|---|---|---|
| Truck-and-dog and multi-combination tippers (quad dogs, tridem quad, 5-axle dog, A-doubles, B-double) | 30-plus combinations | Maximum-payload bulk cartage: sand, soil, aggregate and road base in volume |
| Semi tippers (tri-axle, quad and semiquad) | 6 | Bulk cartage where a dog combination doesn't suit the site |
| Rigid tippers | 15: three 6-wheelers, five 8-wheelers, seven 10-wheelers | Mid-size loads, constrained urban sites, staged deliveries |
| Body trucks, 3 to 12.5 tonne rated | 6 | Small drops, tight access and residential deliveries |
| Plant float (Mack Granite) | 1 | Machinery and plant movements |
Behind the trucks sit around 40 tipping trailers, so we match the combination to the job rather than to whatever trailer is free. Every combination in the main fleet holds cartage accreditation with Holcim, Hanson and Boral.
We own it. We don't sub it out.
A lot of transport operators are brokers. They take your booking, then ring around for a truck, and if that truck doesn't show, you wear it. Elite runs its own fleet. We employ the drivers, we maintain the trucks and we control the schedule end to end.
- Capacity we can commit to: the trucks are ours, so a booking is a booking.
- One standard: every truck on our maintenance program, every driver on Elite's procedures and safety systems.
- One phone number: one company responsible for the job, start to finish.
- Room to scale: 62 units means a program can grow without your day-to-day cartage dropping off.
Managed with Allotrac, tracked with Geosecure
The whole operation runs on Allotrac, a live transport management platform, with Geosecure GPS on every truck. You can see where your load is and we can prove where it's been.
- Geosecure GPS tracking across the fleet, so we know where every truck is and can give you accurate ETAs and delivery confirmation.
- Job allocation and dispatch handled digitally, matching the right truck to the right load and keeping the whole fleet moving efficiently.
- Real-time data capture: loads, deliveries, dockets and job status recorded as they happen, not reconstructed after the fact.
- Digital prestart checklists completed by drivers before every shift, so safety and roadworthiness are verified up front and logged.
You get tight scheduling, clean records and the documentation that Chain of Responsibility and project reporting ask for.
Every truck runs under Elite's integrated management system, independently certified to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 45001 (Safety). See Safety & Compliance for the full framework.
Backed by Elite Group
